The glass of the new Ecokay line, produced by Isap Packaging, is made of bioplastic (polymers) and is biodegradable and compostable, therefore easily disposable in the collection of the wet. It is resistant to high temperatures and is solid and resistant.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PLA

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is an innovative bioplastic, a material derived from the transformation of sugars present in corn, beetroot, sugar cane and other natural and renewable and non-petroleum-derived materials (unlike traditional plastic)

This bioplastic is biodegradable and compostable so it quickly degrades in the soil once the necessary temperature and humidity conditions are reached. PLA is transparent, shiny and with excellent resistance characteristics.

The main characteristic is the compostability, that is the rapid degradation of the PLA manufactured articles, thus making it suitable to replace the traditional plastic. In a short time (about 50 days in the composting center) this bioplastic is transformed into soil and fertilizer for the soil. The virtuous cycle ends like this: waste quickly becomes a useful and natural resource.
