BIOTABLE TECHNOLOGY

The new product line that respects the principles of the circular economy and does not produce waste, from today thanks to IMI to respect the environment it will be enough to use the BIOTABLE line.

BioTable is inspired by Biomimesis: the conscious study of biological processes of nature to improve human activities and technologies. The main raw material is represented by the deposits of discarded matter, so it will be easy after a lunch at home or in the open air to dispose of everything in the organic without necessarily cleaning them out.

All products in the BioTable line, collected from organic waste, can be composted to turn into humus, which will fertilize the soil naturally.

Bio Table is the innovative Italian ecological line on the market, born from nature and environmentally friendly. It helps reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere: it is renewable, free of toxins and naturally degrades.

Bio Table is born from the great Italian heart of IMI. To achieve this we have designed a new material starting from different macromolecules obtained from renewable sources. Furthermore we have engineered them in order to obtain the mechanical characteristics necessary for the manufacturing processes.

The Bio Table line is mainly derived from dextrose (sugar) which is extracted from bio-based materials. The Bio Table line comes from renewable sources.

The Bio Table line degrades into simpler substances through the enzymatic activity of microorganisms. Its degradation exceeds 90% in 180 days according to the EN 13432 standard. Its biodegradation times may vary depending on environmental conditions.

Under optimal composting conditions, such as those of normal industrial composters, Bio Table products are transformed into compost, becoming an excellent fertilizer rich in substances and microorganisms useful for the soil. In case of abandonment in the environment, Bio Table products disintegrate and degrade, without leaving polluting elements, like other natural materials (eg wood).
